On the web:

What’s the backstory, and how did you come up with this idea?

The idea came about when I was once browsing a website for information. I found myself in the familiar scenario of interacting with a chatbot, only to receive a standard "Please wait for an agent" message. This got me thinking about the inconvenience faced by users and the challenges companies encounter in providing efficient web-based customer support. Realizing the need for a more streamlined and user-friendly approach, the concept for this solution emerged. It aims to address the hassles users face and simplify the process for companies, making customer support more effective and enjoyable for everyone involved.

How did you build ProductAssist?

Building ProductAssist was quite an interesting journey, especially given my background in Accounts and Finance. I found my way into programming during the COVID-19 lockdown, learning the ropes on my own. The concept for ProductAssist emerged when I faced the challenges of traditional customer support on websites.

Despite having no prior knowledge about AI, I stumbled upon Large Language Models (LLMs) during my research. This discovery gave me the confidence that creating an automated chat assistant for websites was something I could tackle. With around 15 days of hands-on development, mostly spent exploring and learning, I managed to put together the first version of ProductAssist. It's a solution aimed at making customer interactions on websites more straightforward and user-friendly.

What does success mean to you and your company?

Success, for me, is all about creating a positive impact, and the quantity of people affected is not the primary measure. It's about making a meaningful difference. As for ProductAssist, our success is gauged by the technical solutions we bring to life, emphasizing the quality and significance of our contributions. It's not just about the numbers but about delivering valuable and meaningful solutions. This success is a collective effort, involving the dedication and collaboration of our team, as we work together to leave a positive mark that extends beyond mere metrics

What has been your biggest struggle and greatest achievement?

In my journey with ProductAssist, the most challenging aspect was establishing ourselves in the AI B2B market, especially as an Indian company. The struggle was real in navigating the complexities of a niche market without prior knowledge about B2B SaaS companies. Placing our product in the market and convincing people to use it proved to be an uphill task.

On the flip side, our greatest achievement was the moment we secured our first client. It was a significant milestone that brought a sense of satisfaction and contentment. This success marked a breakthrough for us, demonstrating that our efforts were making an impact, even in a challenging landscape. If you had a chance to do things differently, what would you do?

How do you look at AI adoption into the business?

I see AI adoption in business as a transformative process with both opportunities and challenges. Integrating AI can significantly enhance efficiency, decision-making, and overall operations, which has started taking place. Businesses that successfully embrace AI technologies can gain a competitive edge, automate repetitive tasks, and extract valuable insights from data.

What drives you personally as an entrepreneur?

As an entrepreneur, my drive is to create products and foster teams and a culture that makes life easier for people. I'm motivated by the belief that anything is possible with the right mindset.
